Day 1
Transfer from the airport to your hotel, accommodation. Enjoy a walking tour of Salta's stunning colonial centre — the Plaza 9 de Julio, the Cathedral and the MAAM museum.
Day 2
Drive north into the UNESCO-listed Quebrada de Humahuaca. Visit Purmamarca and the famous Hill of Seven Colours, then Tilcara and its pre-Columbian pucará fortress. Accommodation at Tilcara.
Day 3
Visit the town of Humahuaca and ascend to the spectacular Hornocal hill at 4,200 metres — a natural amphitheatre of layered colour that defies description. Return to Tilcara for the night.
