February 15th Buenos Aires / Ushuaia : transfer and City tour. Dinner at the Hotel
Buenos Aires: Group Transfer from hotel to Local airport. Flight to Ushuaia (3 hour
40 minutes) ie : AR 1886 Departure 11.04 am – arrival 14.45 or similar Arrival at Ushuaia and transfer to the hotel.
Ushuaia is the southern city of Argentina, its landscape is unique as it is a combination of mountains, sea, forest and glaciers. Founded in 1884.
Lunch on own City tour Ushuaia, capital city of Tierra del Fuego, is located at Beagle Channel coast and
surrounded by Martial Range (part of the Andes Mountain Range). It offers a unique landscape composed by mountains, sea, glaciers and forest.
During the tour we will visit ‘La Misión’, where the first ‘white man’ settlement took place giving origing to Ushuaia city. We will also reach the high part of the city to
enjoy a great panoramic view of Ushuaia and the Beagle Channel.
On the way we will also see the houses of the pioneers that arrived to the area around 100 years ago and observe it particular architecture. We will finish the tour
at the Maritime and Old Prison Museum. If you want you can stay at this point to visit the Museum on your own or go back to your Hotel with
Dinner at hotel.
February 16th: Ushuaia – Lapataia National Park + Train of
the End of the world– Beagle Navigation & Penguin + Lunch
Full day visit to the National Park & Beagle Navigation during the afternoon.
The entrance to Tierra del Fuego National Park is at 12 km from Ushuaia. It is the only park with maritime coast in our country.
Ride at End of the world train, and then Following a road around the mountains we will see the peat bogs and the beaver dams before arriving at Lapataia River.
Once we cross the river, we will have a nice view of Laguna Verde and the upland geese and ibis that come here every summer. We suggest you take a long walk
along a path up to Laguna Negra or the Beavers Path, to know the work of these curious animals. In Lapataia Bay (the end of the National Road N. 3) it is
possible to see the area where the old inhabitants of the Island left their testimony: the Yamana kitchen, an interesting archeological place. Before returning to Ushuaia
we are going to stop in front of Lago Roca, whose colour varies according to the weather.
Return to the city. Quick lunch Seals and birds islands : walk to the pier and enjoy Beagle Navigation and
Magellanic Penguins colony at Puerto Martillo Island We leave Ushuaia by sailing the Beagle Channel waters passing the Ushuaia Bay,
the north cost of the channel, the archipiélago and the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, where it is possible to visit different sea bird nests, seals areas and several types of
coastal and sea birds (petrels, albatrosses, cormorants, oyster catchers, etc). After approaching the Lighthouse, we will continue navigation to Isla Martillo Island.
FROM THE SHORE we will see an important colony of Magellanic Penguis. Sail back to Ushuaia.
February 17t h : Ushuaia – Escondido and Fagnano Lake + Lunch
We leave Ushuaia city along the National Road 3, to the north of the island to enjoy a new landscape, the Fueguinean Andes, through the valleys.
Circle by the Argentinean southwest sky valleys to the Garibaldi Pass, and get into the Andes Mountains. Stop and breath for the beautiful view of the Escondido and
Fagnano lakes. Enjoy a typical Fueguinean lamb lunch.
Or same activity in 4×4 vehicles.
February 18 th : Ushuaia – Buenos Aires or extension Iguazu / Mendoza
Transfer to Airport and Take flight to Buenos Aires (3hours 40 minutes) ie
